The Launton Handbell Ringers were founded in 1951 by the late Frederick Sharpe, the noted bell historian and campanologist.

Originally based in the village of Launton in Oxfordshire, the members now come from a wide area of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. They have given recitals on radio and televisionas well as in cathedrals, churches, civic centres, theatres, societies, clubs and private functions
